This comes as no surprise, given the significant challenges the energy sector has faced in recent years, which have diverted focus. While many energy companies have moved beyond their historically risk-averse nature, most still approach any technology 'hype' with caution," said Gaia Gallotti, research director at IDC Energy Insights. "Having said that, our survey demonstrates that energy companies that commit to AI adoption with a structured approach advance significantly faster than peers in other industries. This clearly demonstrates that the benefits of AI for energy organizations are tangible and substantial."
